Purple Sunflower worked with a colleague to manage the creation and delivery of the 2016 ASAP Gala Dinner & Industry Awards. This prestigious, black-tie event recognised and celebrated the achievements of the serviced apartment sector over the past 12 months.

The project involved:

  • Sourcing and contracting an ASAP Gala Dinner 2016appropriate event venue
  • Appointing and working with third party suppliers including caterer, AV, florist and entertainment
  • Creating and delivering a marketing communications plan to sell 250 tickets for the event
  • Selling sponsorship to help fund the evening
  • Overseeing the event day
  • Managing the project budget

2016 & 2015 ASAP Annual Convention and 2015 Industry Awards Dinner

Working with a colleague, and with support from the wider Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) team, Emma managed the delivery of the 2016 and 2015 ASAP Ann
ual Convention which saw 400 delegates from the serviced apartment sector come together for a day of seminars, suppliers exhibition and networking. The 2015 event culminated in the ASAP Industry Awards dinner.

As Event Manager, Emma took responsibility for:ASAP Annual Convention 2016

  • Creating and managing an event plan
  • Participating in regular update calls with the ASAP
  • Creating and delivering an event marketing communications plan, both online and offline
  • Approaching and recruiting 30 exhibitors; creating and distributing an exhibitor briefing pack; collating company information for event programme; producing an exhibition floor plan
  • Devising the event programme; recurting and briefing speASAP Programme akers
  • Managing event suppliers including venue, photographer, AV, videographer, printer, entertainers
  • Finalising event format and managing event day logistics, including briefing support staff
  • Creating and managing an event budget
  • Developing ASAP branded collateral for use at the event
  • Producing a printed event guide featuring a welcome and update from the ASAP CEO, agenda and speaker and exhibitor profiles
  • Overseeing the event day
  • Developing a post event survey for delegates and exhibitors to gather feedback

 

Annual Conference

In December 2013, Purple Sunflower provided event assistance at the Association of Serviced Apartment Provides’ (ASAP) Annual Conference. The event took plASAPace in London and was attended by 250 delegates, 28 exhibitors and seminar speakers. As a member of the conference team, Emma took responsibility for a range of tasks including: registering delegates, greeting speakers, liaising with the venue on operational issues and answering questions from attendees.

2016 ASAP Summer Party

Working with a colleague, Emma managed the inaugural ASAP Summer Party in June 2016.

This project involved:

  • Souring and contracting a suitable venue
  • Working with the venue to agree event format, including decoration and menus
  • Creating and delivering a marketing communications plan to sell over 100 tickets
  • Recruiting and briefing event photographer
  • Selling sponsorship to help fund the event
  • Overseeing the event day
  • Managing the event budget
